We're With You From Day One

Becoming a licensed foster parent takes preparation — and we make sure you're never doing it alone. From your very first training to the ongoing support that follows, Family Ministries is with you every step of the way.

Training That Works for Your Life

We know your schedule is busy. That's why we offer pre-service trainings both in-person and virtually — so you can complete the requirements in a way that actually fits your life. Our goal isn't just to check boxes. We want you to feel genuinely prepared, confident, and excited about the journey ahead.

When you go through training with us, you'll get to know your trainer personally — not just as an instructor, but as someone who will walk alongside you through the licensing process. By the time you reach your interview, you'll already have a familiar face in your corner.

A Clear Path, Every Step of the Way

We believe the licensing process shouldn't feel like a mystery. Here's what you can expect when you train with Family Ministries:

Step-by-step guidance — We provide a clear roadmap of what to expect at every stage so there are no surprises.
Home safety walkthrough — We come to you. Our team completes the home safety checklist right in your home.
Home study support — We handle the home study documentation with you, making the process as smooth as possible.
Staff support at every turn — You'll never be left wondering what comes next. Our team is always reachable and ready to help.

More Than a Training Program — A Community

Licensing is just the beginning. Once you're part of the Family Ministries family, you're part of something ongoing. Throughout the year, you'll be invited to community gatherings, agency events, and our annual Christmas party — because fostering is hard, and we believe the families who do it deserve to be celebrated and connected.

You'll also continue growing through on-going trainings as part of your compliance agreement, keeping you equipped and informed as your foster care journey continues.
